Rottnest is an exceptional example of unsustainable practices in the 19th century having an impact on the Island more than 150 years later.

On the other hand it is also a wonderful example of the implementation of sustainable practices to provide its modern services. The tour visits facilities as for the Behind the Scenes Tour with an emphasis on sustainability.

Note: This tour is conducted using bicycles covering several kilometres. Bicycle hire not included. A walking tour is available upon request, but it will not include the wind turbine and desalination plant.
